Spice Islands Wicker Royal Palm Queen Headboard Antique Brownwash

A Tropical Headboard with an Open Lattice Design

The Spice Islands Royal Palm Queen Headboard swaps solid panels for an open grid of poles, so your wall peeks through and the look stays light. If you want a tropical headboard that still feels tailored, this one gets there with a woven medallion set right in the center.

The Antique Brownwash finish is warm with an aged look, and darker wraps at every joint trace the lattice pattern. At 62 inches tall and 65 inches wide, it makes a full-height statement behind a queen mattress. Round out the look with the matching Royal Palm Night Stand and Royal Palm 3 Drawer Dresser.

Royal Palm Lattice Headboard Key Features

  • Light, open look: A grid of poles keeps it airy, so it won't block light or crowd a smaller room.
  • Woven center medallion: A cross-shaped woven panel anchors the middle and adds texture against the open frame.
  • A shape you'll notice: Curved shoulders step up to a flat crown, giving the silhouette a distinctive, old-world feel.
  • Ball finials and wrapped joints: Round finials cap each post, and dark wraps at the joints pick out the grid.
  • Queen size: At 65" wide and 62" tall, it sits right behind a queen mattress.

An Open-Frame Headboard That Keeps the Room Light

Most headboards are a solid wall of material. This one is mostly air. The poles cross in an open grid, so your wall color shows straight through and becomes part of the design.

That makes it easy to live with in a smaller room. At 4 inches deep, it sits close to the wall and never feels heavy, even at a full 62 inches tall.

A Woven Chevron Medallion Gives the Lattice Its Focal Point

Right in the middle of all that open space sits a cross-shaped woven panel. Its reeds run on the diagonal and meet in a chevron pattern, so there's fine texture exactly where your eye lands first.

The frame around it has plenty to look at as well. Curved shoulders step up to a flat crown, a round ball finial caps each post, and dark wraps mark every joint.

Antique Brownwash Brings Tropical Warmth to a Queen Headboard

Antique Brownwash is a warm, aged brown that looks collected rather than brand new. The darker wraps at the joints stand out against it, which is what makes the grid read so clearly from across the room.

It works with soft neutrals, leafy greens and warm wall colors alike. Add the matching night stand and dresser and you have a full Royal Palm set in one finish.

Tropical Headboard Care & Maintenance

The open frame makes dusting quick. Run a soft microfiber cloth along the poles, and give the woven medallion an occasional pass with a vacuum's soft-brush attachment. For marks, use a barely damp cloth with a little mild soap, never soaking the finish, and let it dry completely. Keep it clear of heating vents and out of strong direct sunlight so the finish holds its color.
