Some rooms are made for slowing down, and the Spice Islands Mandalay Queen Bed fits right into them. This rattan queen bed is woven from split rattan and banana bark rope, the same fiber that's commonly twisted into rope across Asia, all wrapped around a sturdy frame of select hardwood.
Even the legs get the woven treatment. Each one is made from several rattan poles bound tightly together, so the texture carries all the way to the floor. Love the look? Add the matching Mandalay 6 Drawer Dresser, or go all in with the Mandalay 5 Piece Queen Bedroom Set.
The woven panels are what you notice first. They pair split rattan with banana bark rope, and because two fibers share one weave, the surface has more texture and variation than a single material would give you. Banana bark rope isn't there just for looks, either. It's commonly used as working rope across Asia.
Plenty of beds put all their detail up top and leave the legs plain. On the Mandalay, each leg is made from several rattan poles woven tightly together, so the bed looks finished from every angle, not just from the doorway.
Woven furniture is only as good as what's underneath it. Here the rattan and rope wrap an inner frame of select hardwoods, which gives the weave something solid to hold onto. The whole bed measures 66.25" wide, 87" deep and 55.5" tall, so measure your wall and walkway space before you order.

Rattan Queen Bed Care & Maintenance
Rattan doesn't ask for much, just a little regular attention. Dust it with a soft microfiber cloth, and once a week run a soft-bristle vacuum attachment through the weave to pick up whatever settles in the gaps. If something spills, blot it with a barely damp cloth and a little mild soap and water, never soaking the fibers, then let it dry completely. Keep it away from humid spots, and when it's time to rearrange, lift the bed instead of dragging it.
